built this at ethtokyo: legacy is an autonomous succession protocol that automatically transfers your crypto, nfts, and ens names to designated heirs if you stop actively checking in.
it runs on three states: active, where you periodically verify you're alive using world id (without revealing your identity), resetting a countdown timer; grace period, a buffer window after a missed check-in before transfers can occur; and heir claim, where heirs can initiate a claim, but a veto window lets you cancel it by checking in again.
everything is enforced on-chain through individual smart contract vaults per user on world chain, no pooled assets, no upgradeable contracts, no custodians, lawyers, or multisig intermediaries holding your assets.
